VOI Arenella Resort ****

Location

Set in 60 hectares of unspoilt nature, the VOI Arenella Resort is just a short distance from the sea and only 10 km from the city of Syracuse.The hotel is easy to reach by taking the main highway from Catania airport, just 70 km away.It is also an excellent base for exploring the towns of Noto (30 km), Modica and Ragusa (55 km).

Hotel
The Resort, set in a protected marine area, consists of a central building and various secondary buildings which have two floors. Simple and modern in style, it has large, well-landscaped gardens. 

Several areas have recently been renovated: the bar, the pizzeria, the swimming pools and the solarium around them, the amphitheatre and two paddle courts.

Rooms
The spacious resort, divided into two areas, Anapo and Ciane, features 410 family-friendly rooms, spread between the main building and the cozy two-story villas. All rooms have a bathroom with shower or bath , hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, safety-box, wi-fi, mini-fridge (drinks on request and subject to charge), balcony or patio. 

Beach
Just a short distance (800m) separates the VOI Arenella Resort from a beach of golden sand, equipped with sun beds, beach umbrellas, showers and changing rooms, and a deep blue sea with a gently sloping bottom. Where the seabed is rocky, platforms have been set up which permit guests to dive directly into the water (mid-May to mid-September, flexible dates).

Sun beds and beach umbrellas are available free of charge, according to availability, on the beach (1 umbrella and 2 sunbeds per room from the fourth row), on the platforms and round the pool. The 1s, 2nd and 3rd row are reserved for guests staying in the Superior Rooms.

Starting from the 2025 season, a new platform – the third one – will be introduced to offer an even more exclusive relaxation experience. This new area will feature umbrellas and sunbeds, as well as modern services and showers to ensure maximum comfort for our guests. Additionally, a new bar will be available, offering a selection of products from the All-Inclusive line.

To reach the beach, guests simply walk through the nature reserve, but there is also a free shuttle-bus service (from May 1st). Beach service is active from May 1st to September 30th, from 9 am to 7 pm.

Beach towels are available with payment of a € 10.00 deposit; each change costs € 2.00.

Wellness centre
The Carissa Wellness Centre, located within the Resort, features a swimming pool, relaxation area, sauna, Turkish bath, Jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor fitness spaces, beauty treatments, massages, and a herbal tea corner. Access is restricted to guests over 12 years old. Entry is payable on-site, and the session lasts approximately one hour.

Families

A true paradise for kids and teenagers, thanks to a rich and varied programme of activities arranged by our entertainment staff. Divided by age group, entertainment is guaranteed with games, competitions and sports activities (30th may-28th September, flexible dates).

VOILÀ BABY (0-2 years from 16th May until 28th september) – this programme is based on a fully equipped nursery (bottle warming area, blenders, crockery, microwave, refrigerators).

During assistance times (11.30-21.30) there is availability of specific products (blended vegetal broth, vegetable soup, fresh fruit, homogenized products (meat, fish and fruit), milk, biscuits, yogurt, water, fruit juice, diapers).

Kit Baby Package Upon advanced request (with a deposit, limited availability), welcome kit including: stroller, baby tub, baby toilet seat, bottle warmer.

VOILÀ KIDS-JUNIOR (divided into: 3-6; 7-9; 10-12 years) – Children play area, lunch and dinner in dedicated areas, special activities (circus or juggling school, activities with marine biologists, baby fitness). There are also, according to age, collective courses of tennis, soccer, baby dancing. TV room with videogames, Wi-Fi and table games. Welcome kit with backpack and cap.

YOUNG CLUB (13-17 years) – Sports and recreational activities for making friends and having fun. Videogame room with Wi-Fi, connection, dedicated dinners, disco after the evening shows. 

Baby sitting: available upon request for an additional fee.

Restaurant
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the main restaurant, with buffet service (assisted). Organic dishes and ingredients are available, and also non-gluten products (bread, pasta, crisp bread and biscuits); the structure is certified by the Italian Coeliac Association (AIC).

The All-Inclusive package includes: international breakfast, buffet lunch and dinner with water, house wine, beer, and soft drinks on tap during meals. From 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM, guests can enjoy unlimited water, soft drinks, juices, beer, house wine, hot beverages, a selection of local and national alcoholic beverages included in the All-Inclusive offer, and a variety of alcoholic cocktails. Two snack breaks are provided daily. (Note: the All-Inclusive package does not apply to the beachfront bar-restaurant or the beach bar).

The property also features a bar located in the main building, the Bar Terrazza, open from June 1st to September 28th (weather permitting), as well as a beachfront restaurant and bar offering rotisserie and self-service options (available for a fee), with spacious indoor areas and sea-view verandas. The recently renovated pool bar will also host a pizzeria. A weekly evening aperitif is included.

The Alfeo Restaurant offers a rich buffet with grills and show cooking, serving an international breakfast with sweet and savory options, both hot and cold. The menu features Mediterranean dishes, as well as local and regional specialties, prepared with organic, locally sourced ingredients and vegan options. A dedicated area with specific products is available for children aged 2-3 years. Themed evenings are held throughout the week, including local cuisine, Gala dinners, street food, international dishes, and VOIhotels specialties inspired by the destinations of the chain’s resorts.

The Aretusa Restaurant, open from June 1st to September 28th, is reserved for guests staying in Premium, Superior, and Superior Junior Suite rooms, with a dedicated table. Water, wine, beer, and soft drinks are included. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style, while dinner features a buffet for appetizers, side dishes, fruit, and desserts, along with a “Table d’Hôte” menu offering dishes served by the Chef.

The Pizzeria I Mori, located next to the pool and recently renovated, offers a wide selection of pizzas and craft beers. Reservations are required, and draft beverages such as water, house wine, beer, and soft drinks are included. Open for dinner only, from June 9th to September 28th, weather permitting. Open from 9 June to 28 September. 

The VOI GUSTO, open from June 1st to September 28th, from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM, offers guests a selection of typical Sicilian delicacies: granitas, brioches, artisanal ice creams, freshly filled cannoli, cassatine, panelle, Sicilian arancini, organic regional DOC wines, craft beer, and almond milk. The service is available for an additional fee.

Subject to pay: coffee, alcohol, ice cream and all bottled and can beverages.

Sport
There is also a diving centre and miscellaneous sports equipment for rental. The entertainment staff organizes beach games, muscle stimulation, aquagym, aerofit, group dancing.

From opening until May 30th and from September 28th until closing, there are some entertainment activities such as gymnastics, card tournaments and live music evenings. From 01/06 to 28/09 the activities are increased and every day the animation staff is available to organise games, tournaments and group courses.

Live music evenings, parties, DJ sets, evening shows in the amphitheatre.

Other available services: a new sports area with 2 paddle courts, a tennis court and a five-a-side football pitch with activities organised by federal instructors; bike centre for bicycle rental.

Services & Activities 

Wi-Fi connection is free of charge throughout the resort.

The VOI Arenella Resort has two pools, one for relaxation without entertainment, one with entertainment (both with shallow areas for the kids) and an indoors one, in the wellness centre; a pool bar is also available (opening at Management’s discretion). 

Complimentary services: sun beds and umbrellas at the beach, at the poolside and on the decks (according to availability); shuttle bus service to and from the beach at fixed times; baggage handling, free medical service (only in high season) in established times (a fee is charged outside the established times), unattended parking, evening entertainment at the amphitheatre 

Bicycle rental service is available and a shuttle bus to Syracuse twice a day (excluding Sundays) costing € 3,00 round trip for children up to 11 years'age and € 5,00 round trip starting from 12 years'age. 

Unsupervised internal parking equipped with an electric vehicle charging station located in the "Ciane" parking area.

There is also a bazaar, a newsstand, a parapharmacy, luggage storage, several lounges, a library corner, and an ATM.

The Club Card is mandatory from May 30th to September 28th and costs €49.00 per person per week, applicable to adults and children aged 3 and above.

The tourist tax is also mandatory, at €1.60 per day per person for guests aged 14 and above, for a maximum of 7 nights. The tax must be paid at check-in. Regulations regarding the tourist tax may be subject to changes.
