Hotels and Villas in Marsala, a plunge into true Mediterranean hospitality....
Situated on the western most point of Sicily and with a view over the Egadi Islands, the islands of Stagnone and the salt pans, Marsala is one of the sea cities of the Province of Trapani.
The city has preserved historical and artistic traces of all the peoples who have lived here: Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans and Spanish. A city with many churches, sanctuaries and archaeological remains but also with a rich offer of natural beauties.
The coastline is marked by the shore walk Boeo, the presence of the Stagnone Reserve, a lagoon consisting of four small islands, and a series of beaches: from the closest, the Lido Signorino and Lido Torrazza as far as Punta Tramontana and Mazzara del Vallo. From Marsala you can also reach beautiful Favignana with just a 30-minute ferry trip. Marsala’s beaches, with their fine white sand and clear sea, are in part free beach areas and in part home to well-equipped lidos where you canrent sun loungers, beach umbrellas, practice windsurf, kite-surf and try your hand at sailing.
And of course Marsala is home to an exceptional dessert wine, not to mention some exceptional dishes of local tradition such as fish cous-cous and pasta dressed with sea urchin roe.
